Temporary Generators Done Right

Los Angeles Temporary Power rents diesel and natural-gas generators from 25kW to 500kW for construction sites and standby use. Every unit is Tier 4 Final compliant, sound-attenuated, and includes fuel delivery and remote monitoring. We size it, deliver it, hook it up, and keep it running.

How We Work

One project manager runs your job from the first phone call through removal. Here’s the flow:

1. Load calculation

We talk through your equipment list — tower lights, welders, lifts, batch plants, site trailers — and calculate the running and starting kW you need. No oversizing, no undersizing.

2. Spec and delivery

We pick the right unit (diesel or natural gas), confirm fuel logistics, and schedule delivery on a flatbed. Most LA County deliveries are next-day.

3. Hookup and monitoring

Our crew sets the unit, lands the leads, runs a load test, and ties it into our remote monitoring system. You get alerts if fuel runs low or the unit faults.

When You Need Temporary Generators

A temporary generator is the right call when:

  • The site has no utility power yet — raw lots, off-grid builds, and remote canyon projects where running a temp service from the pole would take too long.
  • You need redundancy or peak shaving — heavy MEP loads, simultaneous welders and lifts, or projects where a brownout would cost a full crew day.
  • Filming, events, or short-duration work — when pulling a temp service permit doesn’t pencil out for a 2-week job.
  • Emergency or storm response — same-day or next-day delivery for outage events.
  • Standby power for a critical operation — server rooms, refrigeration, or active medical/lab equipment during planned outages.
  • Tier 4 compliance is required — public works, LA County projects, and sites with air-quality conditions all require Tier 4 Final certified units.

What Affects the Cost of Temporary Generators

Generator rental cost is straightforward — we quote a flat weekly or monthly rate plus fuel. The number depends on:

  • Generator size. 25kW to 500kW units in our fleet — bigger units cost more per day, but the right size avoids paying for capacity you won’t use.
  • Fuel type. Diesel is most common and flexible. Natural-gas units have lower fuel cost on long-duration jobs if a gas line is available.
  • Length of the rental. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates available. Monthly rates are dramatically cheaper per day.
  • Fuel delivery. We include scheduled fuel delivery; cost varies by site location and tank size.
  • Sound attenuation. Standard units are sound-attenuated; super-quiet units for residential-adjacent sites cost slightly more.
  • Delivery + pickup. Included within LA County. Long-distance projects get a delivery quote.

Bottom line: tell us the kW you need and how long, we'll quote a flat rate the same day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can you deliver a generator in Los Angeles?

Most LA County deliveries are next-day. Same-day delivery is possible for emergencies if a unit is available — call and we’ll check the yard.

What sizes do you stock?

We carry diesel and natural-gas units from 25kW to 500kW. Common rentals: 25kW for small sites, 100kW for mid-sized projects, 250–500kW for large multifamily or commercial.

Are your generators Tier 4 Final certified?

Yes. Every unit in our fleet meets EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards — required for most LA County and public-works projects.

Do you deliver fuel?

Yes. Fuel delivery is included on a scheduled basis. We monitor fuel level remotely on most units and dispatch before you run dry.

How loud are the units on a residential site?

Our standard units are sound-attenuated to ~65–70 dB at 23 feet. We also offer super-quiet units for sensitive areas (around 55 dB).
